Got the head back from the shop finally. Surface was cut 8 thou to get rid of the pitting. Looking good. Just touching the intake insert but noi need to recut seats - I will lap. I have a Athena 0.060 5-layer MLS gasket.

Measured head volume and piston dome. Static CR calc comes in at 9.9. Head volume is 48.5cc.

Dry build starting as soon as the rot assy is balanced - next weekend hopefully.

I had a new 124 Spyder in 1970, a 128 in '73, a 131 in '76, which I turbocharged. Also had a used Lancia Scorpion (hated it).

Did any of you guys do business with PBS Engineering? That was Paul and Bob Swenson.

Their shop is just around the corner form me.

Bob died several years ago in an offroad accident: https://www.apexspeed.com/forums/showth ... ob-Swenson

I heard Paul died from Cancer two years ago, then their engineer Clark died in a traffic accident. I haven't been by the shop in a few years. I should stop by and see if Fred and the other machinist are running things.

They got into making transmissions after the Fiat stuff died out.

Found a customer page with a bunch of related photos https://www.picuki.com/tag/pbsengineering
Thinking is hard work.
