Are you using an octane booster with MMT in it??

No non oxy pump. Yea looks like my plugs did when I dynoed it & we put some race gas booster in it.

I agree looks like MMT, but not to sidetrack...I'd be interested in knowing more about the engine combination, in that why its getting so much reversion.

Looks more like staining than reversion to me.

It’s mostly on the secondary side....... even in the spacer, with what appears to be a spread bore carb...... so most of the fuel is coming from the secondary side of the carb.
Somewhat handy with a die grinder.

Yah looks that way to me to. I have a couple dual planes with signs of reversion in the intake, pretty even up the runners, doesn't make it to either plenum side(I know singe plane is not the same n prob worse). Still the heads were worse/darker than the intake.

I've never seen that color from pump gas before. What would be in it to make that color? A mile farther north I'd say colour. :)

Temperature related? [ Temp of the intake manifold itself ]. Would the colour be darker, nearer to black, if the intake was hotter/heat soaked?

What size are the header tubes and what header flange?
