Re: Comp. With E85
Not a simple answer, comes down to the whole combo.
But for street type engines running below 6500rpm 12:1 with iron heads & 12.5-13:1 with alloy heads is enough to see the most gain without pushing the limits.
On race engines operating at higher rpm I've run up to 14.5:1.

Re: Comp. With E85
Well it would no doubt be 95 percent street driven but I do want a minimum of 7 600 rpm with power using 4.56 rear gearing. Have had a cdl since 1974 and high speeds on the street you have to have the right lawer in with the judge to keep it off your record, been there done that. So my intent is latest new auto gear M23 N trans in close ratio, hate high rpm drops small or big engine. Intend to set the car and its wheel wells up so I can switch back and forth from a big dia. Tire to a smaller dia. Tire.

On engines running at a SCR of 14.5:1, do you happen to know the DCR? Or IVC?KnightEngines wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 10:25 am Not a simple answer, comes down to the whole combo.

For true, won't IVC camming for 6,500 result in a higher DCR than camming for 7,600? That's what determines the max static compression ratio.David Redszus wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 12:06 pmOn engines running at a SCR of 14.5:1, do you happen to know the DCR? Or IVC?
