I have a much better design for an adjustable ratio rocker. It's simpler, more sturdy, and easier to use. The reason we don't make them, there's no market for them.
I ran those on a race engine that I built in the 1984-5, never a problem worked great for decades. I probably still have a half set rat holed in my shop attic somewhere.

No one else noticed yet?
Those adjustable-ratio crane aluminum roller rockers HAVE NO ROLLER TIP; have a steel slider instead.
I kind of like that feature... seems like it would be lighter than a roller wheel, and less moving parts to break.
Just look at the modern LS engine rocker arm....notice anything in common?!
Of course; but the most LS are a cast steel rocker w/ integral slider and they're for LS & LT only; GM engineers know majority of friction is in fulcrum & little at tip.
The aforementioned adjustable Crane is first time I've noticed any roller made w/ a slider tip for an SBC.
GM does an LS-LT type rocker on Later 4.3L iron head vortec V6 but they require a special aluminum pedestal that cannot fit a V8 head.

"rat-holed in my attic some where"... I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!
My new parts are in my bedroom so go figure. Got dammed near everything to build my next 4.155" x 3.00" = 325" engine.
