Mike,

How far off are the cheap stamped stock type 1.6 ratio rockers???

Vs say CC's cast roller tipped 1.6 rockers.... Compared to the stock 1.5 rockers...

I personally like the old, "ball in stud", stock rockers is why I ask...

The trunnions used to break on the 7/16" Crane rockers, FWIW. The cross section was pretty thin when machined to 7/16".

Absolutely! =D> What increments would be possible with your design?
SBC, 1.25-1.5, 1.5-1.7
BBC, 1.5-1.7, 1.6-1.8

Those adjustable-ratio crane aluminum roller rockers HAVE NO ROLLER TIP; have a steel slider instead.
I kind of like that feature... seems like it would be lighter than a roller wheel, and less moving parts to break.
Just look at the modern LS engine rocker arm....notice anything in common?!

Mike , I'm guessing offset reverseable trunion?

I ran those on a race engine that I built in the 1984-5, never a problem worked great for decades. I probably still have a half set rat holed in my shop attic somewhere. :D

Of course; but the most LS are a cast steel rocker w/ integral slider and they're for LS & LT only; GM engineers know majority of friction is in fulcrum & little at tip.
The aforementioned adjustable Crane is first time I've noticed any roller made w/ a slider tip for an SBC.

GM does an LS-LT type rocker on Later 4.3L iron head vortec V6 but they require a special aluminum pedestal that cannot fit a V8 head.

They have to have a non roller so the geometry is maintained.

"rat-holed in my attic some where"... I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

My new parts are in my bedroom so go figure. Got dammed near everything to build my next 4.155" x 3.00" = 325" engine.

(2) 400 blocks are in my garage..

He, He!!
