Blue streak Nascar plug wires

Post by tpepmeie »

I'm building a set of custom plug wires using Blue Streak 8.5 or 9mm wire. My (Bosch) coils require a female "socket" style terminal on the coil end, which snaps down onto the coil. These are not common, but are found on the Nascar EFI wires. Hoping some of you have seen these and know what I'm talking about. Where can I source those terminals? I thought Blue Streak themselves, but there isn't a contact number/address on their site.

thanks,
Todd

probably like this. when cup had carbs, they used wire and caps & coils with hi-tension terminals like a spark plug

coil hi-tension terminal similar to a 80-90 mustang coil uses ... caps' terminals likewise,

female socket coil is what a OE chevy points ignition has, same for its OE cap, female socket

So it's plain ol' ordinary "HEI"-style, except big enough to clamp around a 9mm wire instead of 8mm?

"I" would be seeing how the usual 8mm stuff worked. I've put 7 mm plug wire ends on 8mm wire before. Any parts store in America can provide those terminals.

Or am I still misunderstanding?

I was very wrong about "HEI-style" connectors.

Try these:
http://www.pageturnpro.com/Four-Seasons ... index.html

http://www.pageturnpro.com/Four-Seasons ... dex.html#1

Requires Adobe Flash. Click on the "Download PDF" button, easier to work with . Pageturnpro is just hateful.

Individual plug wire parts begin on page 18 of the first link, and page 150-ish of the pdf in the second link.

I can't tell for sure, but perhaps p/n 10111???

that looks like it may fit either a spark plug or an HEI cap or a Ford coil as I linked above
WTF are you working on ?
