Sent torque into get checked, he phoned me back and told me torque was fine but found silver metal filings in the torque .
I hauled the tranny out to the bench and first I did was inspect the input shaft. Right away I noticed on the input shaft on the end by the oil hole closest to the torque that a partial black ring on the input shaft and also grooves on the shaft, so I’m guessing that is where the metal was coming from the input shaft. The input shaft is like 16 years old and probably 4340 not like the new 300m. I rolled it on a table but hard to tell if it bent, but obviously something is wrong . I’m looking for some ideas on this issue and how to tell if bent. Thanks
