Take that whole setup and put it on a flat top 406 instead of a 355 and it will make some nice power with those heads for sure.

My combo that I am very happy with. 355 SBC zero deck, 10.5 compression, .520/.540 236/242@.050. Comp Hydraulic roller, Sportman 11 heads 64cc with some port work, Rpm Air Gap intake, 750 HP carb.1 3/4 Hooker Super Comp headers 3" exhaust. No problems with power brakes, 12" vacuum at idle. Shift at 6500. PTC 10" converter 3.73 rear gear. Runs hard, pleasure to drive.

A stock, 1967 L-48 350 engine with no more than say an old Isky Z-26, Z-28, OR Z-30 solid lifter cam in it will do you fine!

Fu*king tuned stock Q-Jet and a set of small headers open on it and go!!

3.73 to 3.90 gears out back and say 26" tall wide tires like M-50's and go!

Shit 4.10's!!

Where does the converter stall at ? Have you taken this combo to the track ? And does it run on pump fuel.. if so what octane ?

Converter flashes at 32-3400. I run 93 octane and conservative 34 degrees of timing. I haven't had it to the track as of yet.
