Another thread reminded me of something else! Got the wrong GM headgaskets maybe(purchased from Summit), they were sealed and one still is but they aren't the correct bore. In the thread I just read it appears GM has the size I got so might have to buy one n compare. Also bought a new shift light on ebay and it was damaged.

I'm always deal shopping for my projects only way I can get the tools, parts and consumables on a budget but if yah need it then yah get it where you can. Plenty of stuff I won't deal shop for to not risk if it's messed up but in most cases I try n make sure it's with a place that'll take care of me if there is an issue. It'd be nice to not have to, maybe someday I won't need to but right now I don't even have a cellphone so I can get the stuff for my projects.
I never trusted ebay and the 2 things I bought off of amazon were very low dollar and neither arrived on the day they promised even though I payed for shipping so that told me all I needed to know about them. In recent years I have found that I have to put off the things I want so i can save for the things I need. If I could bring myself to sell all the shit I have that I don't need I could probably retire but then I would need an ebay account and have to deal with people... :)

EDIT, I have purchased most parts through a local parts store for what they could provide, then Jegs, Herbert and Comp because they have stood behind their sales with no questions asked, if time is money then the extra cost up front has probably saved me money in the long run.
Please Note!

I've had issues with all msd, comp, summit & jegs. Even name brand stuff I bought local, don't matter there is a bad part out there of any brand with my name on it LOL

I know Amazon or ebay must think I'm a scammer all the issues I have!

Had I opened the box and seen that the dust wouldn't have made it out of the box before it was back in the mail. Buy new parts, spend 100% quality money, expect 100% quality parts. Let them deal with the shipper, not you. Heads are everywhere.
