Can I bush a piston to use a smaller pin?

Post by Krooser »

I will have some time on my hands this fall and winter. Getting another new knee to match the other one.

I'm tossing around the idea of building a late model Hemi for my dirt car. I want to use what I have and build it on the cheap just to test out my idea.

I can use the Eagle heads with the early pistons to get a 12-1 squeeze. Pistons are cheap enough if I can get the mfg. to build a shelf piston with the right pin size and location.

I have some Pankl rods with a small pin (.866?)...the pistons would have the std. Mopar diameter.

What say the experts?
