I honestly liked the original combo better. It hit a lot harder right off the bottom, even if it didn’t rev out nearly as well.

Probably would have been happier with it by just howl porting the SR heads and installing a nice little SFT cam package.
Somewhat handy with a die grinder.

This is why I suggested porting the S/R heads and using the shorter duration Spunky 236-242 110 (105/115) comp
solid cam.
Did the S/R heads turn out to be 67cc or the 76cc version?
And no need to run in crippled retarded timing tune on pump gas
The 114 lsa Crower cam makes a good street blower cam.
I used the 106 LSA version (102/110) of that 236/242 extreme solid cam in street motors where low mid hard punch is wanted. It rocks . Very very strong to 6000.
Can use dual plane or single plane depending on the effect you are looking for.
