Motorcycle crankshaft specialty shops

Post by HeinzE »

For years I had all my special crankshaft work done at Falicon Motorcycle Crankshafts in Florida. They were very good at specialty work like boring flywheel halves, making crankpins or shortening existing pins, as well as general rebuilding and race prepping. Unfortunately they closed about two years ago and no one from their business seems to have stepped in to carry on. Do any of you know of any shops capable of the type of work that Falicon was doing? Especially interested in having some crankpins shortened and crankshaft rebalancing.

APE in California would be my next call. I used falicon rods etc in our sohc tq midget engines for years. They were the best!

Northern Crank Shafts in Thief River Falls, MN. Good people, great service, decent prices.

So if race winning brands acquired Falicon, would that not mean they are still operating under a different name?

I have balanced more than a few motorcycle assemblies if that's of any help.
I do not press the cranks apart and together though.
Anything else I might entertain if you can be precise in telling me what you need.
