I have always cut oilfiter apart for inspection over the years, been using the pre screen between filter and filter boss,
These work good as well,I have used a system 1 oil filter as well but went back to the paper filter, the system 1 always weeps overtime and I don't think there is enough surface area to filter efficiently in a streeter type deal that drives to and from the track.

I'd do the drain plug and one on the filter. Don't need ARP bolts that way and I don't care who you are, that was funny.
