077 heads value

Post by cv67 »

Found a set on a shelf for 25 yrs never used, bare

Any idea what a fair price to pay is
Aware of their pitfalls but a mock ZL1 build could be fun. Those run best with 2.25 valves and some grinding?

Is a grand too much? Good deal?
Again untouched since new..what would hardware run me? Does ARP still make the extended studs?
Id need to helicoil the exh studs correct? Do they need valve jobs>

To a restorer they are worth a lot. If I had a set I would just run them, now are these an original 68-69 set of heads or over the counter set? the date coded ones are where the money is on a set of heads like that.

These are service replacements for the 074s the original ZL1 head
From what I gather they have a better exh ports and less porosity than then 074

Fair price to pay for these? All I can find are old listings for used ones that had a lot of welding repairs done.
