The drag strip is real power at that moment uncorrected.
Also is thru the car drivetrain and tires. net rear wheel HP.

If I run 142.29 MPH @ 3580-3600 pounds how much HP is this?

1. Crankshaft
2. Rear whweels

Based on the 700 hp engine running 125.5 mph in this Chevelle a 840 hp engine should run 132 mph in same Chevelle under same track test conditions.

The uncorrected real rear wheel hp can be calculated.
The gross corrected dyno tested brake horsepower can only be ESTIMATED from the data because the chassis
drivetrain tire lossetc etc are not exactly known.

No, Ok 2900 feet elevation, 27.00 baro, 100 HP loss very easily.

I can tell you this, if I get into some 29.92 baro no head wind DA under 500 feet, I'am going to show corrected dyno HP running down the track in my race car.

Take your engine and bolt it in this guys Chevelle inc his trans etc and see how good you do.
A well prepped typical bracket racer will eat about 50-60 hp.
This Chevelle is not.. I can tell by the numbers.. Or it weights more than #4000 all in.

It sure is a difference. I bought a small block car that ran 6.95-7 in 1/8 from Columbus ohio. When we brought here best we could get was in 7.45-7.5 range. Thought I bought a dud for awhile.

A 27.00 baro is a killer, but just think we run in a 23.70 baro if you can believe that #-o
