GM large port Vortec 25534445

Bob, as I said in our conversation, YOU DID VERY WELL AND DO BETTER WITH THE VORTEC THEN MOST. CONGRADS.

But for a guy who can't do their own work, AND do not have a set of castings laying around, for a low buck deal like this, the ATK (Profiliers) 185 I think would be the ticket. Not saying anything negative about Vortecs, but you did say IF you thought about selling the Vortecs, you would want more then $1400. NOw you did your own work and saved $$$ being able to do that. I not sure this guy, or me, can get the same results and if we did, would be more than $1400 into the Vortecs. So a NEW set of aluminum ATK 185 will work pretty close I would say, are less $$$ at $1030. a set, and use a normal intake.

And I thank you. The Vortec's I told you that are $1400 is because the valves that are in the heads now cost $900 alone. If I were to put some stainless 2.0 and 1.55 valves in the heads it would drop the price a lot. I was not saying the Profilers are bad head ,I meant the ebay and procomp Vortec copies were the heads I was talking about. Sorry for this, a mistake on my part. The point I was trying to make with my 062's was that I did not have that much work into those and the performance gain surprised me quite a bit and anyone with a good Dremel can do what I did. Not sure I would want to fully port a set as they can get mighty thin as everyone knows.
