Super Flow 901 Rebuild

Post by vortecpro »

I just finished the rebuild of my SF 901 dyno, anyone know where to buy the absorber (brake) water filter besides SF? Last question, contact information of the person in Az that services the older 901 dyno electronics. Thanks

Not sure in your area. But thats the round long stainless filter if memory serves me right. We got a replacement from "wix filters". Also the two larger sealed bearings in the unit are standard easy to get but pricey. And if you have not already. Get hold of superflow and get their seal upgrade kit. Be really carefull you dont snap the end of the small impeller stud undoing the nut. Has locktite. Use heat and vibrate with penatrating oil before trying to hard to undo.

Also. Be kind to the servo. My understanding is they are very hard to get. And was a anti vibration block in there. We were told to leave it out. Was nervracking. But has been a few years and still works fine without it.

the last time I bought one (15+ years ago?) from Superflow it came in a Grainger box. I just looked on grainger.com and couldn't find it though
