Seeking info on valves for SB Ford M6049J602 aluminum heads
I have a set of SB Ford M6049J602 aluminum heads to work on. This set of heads will need the valves replaced. The valves currently in the heads are marked intake F3420 and the exhaust are marked F3119. I've looked for hours on the net. No luck finding out who the manufacture is. Any body recognize the part numbers? The valves need to be a competition one piece style valve. The customer is using a roller can with some spring pressure.
Thanks for looking,

As I recall, many years ago Ferrea did have a 3000 series line of valves.
Since you have the valves in your hand, just measure them up and find something that’s close in a catalog.

They are definitely a Ferrea valve although I can not find that those part numbers in my 1999 catalog, or my most newest one !
I would have to say that they are part numbers made / used to supply the manufacturer of those heads!

Ferrea makes a lot of valves that aren't in their catalogs, so it's not surprising that you can't find anything on the internet or in their catalog. Best to call them up and see when they can get some to you. 954-733-2505

Are there any 3000 series numbers in the ‘99 catalog? They are definitely a Ferrea valve although I can not find that those part numbers in my 1999 catalog
The last time I saw any Ferrea 3000 series numbers was close to 30 years ago.

No, not one F3000 series part number to be found in the 99 catalog!

I was thinking the same, Ferrea valves. I did measure them and it looks like a chey valve + .100 will work.

I was going to say the same thing. They had a special part numbers for the Ford heads and some Edelbrock heads if i remember correctly. If you call them they will tell you what the "Normal" number is.

From ‘89-91 I was working at a shop that used Ferrea valves. That was the first time I had heard of them.
How I remember it is there were only two series of valves at that time....... the 1000 and 3000 series.
At some point they added the 6000 and 5000, and that’s when the 3000’s disappeared.
My understanding is the 3000’s were sort of in between the 5000 and 6000.

I don’t get any hits on M6049 J602 for a head.
The head I remember being around back when Ferrea 3000’s were current was the J302 head.
