6Lt LS guides

Post by ProPower engines »

Hey guys
Who or where are you getting a stock replacement long wearing bronze guides with a step for the 6Lt LS cathedral port heads.
I am looking for a bronze guide that has a step but will work with the factory style seals so locators are not needed.
Its for a small turbo project and need some decent guides that are " off the shelf " without getting custom's from places like CHE or PPPC etc.

What are the opinions on going this way VS locators and std. positive seals.

Appreciate your thoughts as always

Dave.

Just an FYI
Those that do LS stuff all the time the guys at Performance Engine parts ( PEP ) have a good stock of guides in both hardened stock type and regular cast as well as in bronze materials as well
They also have the exact guide in Bronze that uses a .562 step diameter and is the stock length from seal/spring seat to top of guide and works with the stock type seal/spring seat. =D>
Several OD's available as well from .502" or 503" to .563" and several lengths as well.
Manganese bronze and Phosphor bronze material options as well.
