I would say "no way" but since Mark is building this you can bet he will find a way to make it run what he says it will.

Curious if you're keeping the odd front sump oil pan/pump?

Thanks

It uses a Milodon rear sump oil pan.

Love it!

Taking a bunch of junk & building something more than the sum of it's parts is much more rewarding than buying fancy shit & bolting it together.

This is amazing. Beautiful engine by the way ! Is it going in the dyno ?
Can you tell us more about the car setup the engine is going in ?

Heres the good news- it will be dyno tested today. The car is a NHRA legal F/SA Chevy II, that has been put on the street, T350 8 inch converter, 4.10 gear TRRC 12 bolt, 2900 pounds ready to run.

10'a seems like a HUGE stretch for basically a flat top 350 with double hump heads... and a cam with barely over 0.500" lift.
That is, unless it's a 'pop can' on wheels with a ton of gear/converter and a well sorted out drivetrain/suspension akin to a Stock/Super Stocker.

Personally, I think you'll need more head and camshaft to get into the 11's if it resembles any kind of actual street car.

Good Luck

I don't know how much to trust online calculators , but Wallace Racing Calculators calls for 430 hp to run 10.99@124 in the 1/4 at 2900 lbs. . Mark did say it was a NHRA legal F/stocker so it should be a well sorted chassis. just my .02 .Dan

After reading the rest of the post, it looks like a much more potent combination than originally appears on the surface. Likely some VERY ported heads, careful parts selection and a lot of attention. to detail... compared to a garden variety flat top 350 in a pedestrian street car. A fully prepped powerplant in an ex Stocker is a different story. lol

Sounds like fun!

What will be the static compression ratio? What does the intake port flow at .600 lift? Thanks
