The dyno data. I say 11s in Denver, we will find out...............Ready to race.

Very nice!
Which of the 2 Q-Jets did you use to get your numbers?

I ran 2 different carbs

1. Harold Bettes carb for my Buick stocker
2. New Harold Bettes carb for my Buick stocker
3. Vintage Muscle Car carb for my Buick stocker

Carb 1 and 3 ran about the same on the dyno, although carb 1 is definitely proven at the track. Both carbs flow in the 890 CFM range. My Buick ran 11.60 in Denver in a 23.78 baro @ 3650, I pulled the worn out engine out and put it on the dyno, it made 512 HP corrected and 372 HP observed uncorrected, right after this race in Denver which I qualified # 5 in the stock/super stock combo. My 427 above made in the 360s for observed HP, My Chevelle is a better car than my Buick, I think it will run 11.70s in Denver.

Love this build, made even more steam than I was expecting. Looks stock but rocks! Nice job.

This project reminds me of one I did in the mid-late 80's. 1965 Impala ss 300hp 327. Full rebuild on a budget, one step warmer cam and fully ported fuelies. Completely different attitude. Good times.

I understand the intent of this test; but I have to wonder what kind of performance you could get with a modern lobe or possibly hydraulic roller with smooth idle characteristics. I like nothing better than a stock looking engine that can clean clocks.

Curious what all you did to the suspension too.

Wonder what it would do with a stock eliminator cam, maybe 580 HP?

That stock eliminator cam would be a great question as well. I was just thinking street sleeper with my original question/comment.
