With the A/C and street driving the target I would go wider like a 112-113.Tom

Guys,
Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. I was out of town for a few days. I'm gonna try to find the Melling 26308 cam and some USA lifters. Wish me Luck.

Howards has some decent hyd/ roller options I may look at.
With all the FT lifter issues in the industry these days I will not even consider anything less then a hyd. roller cam choice for a street build. and with the lack of lifter choices for push rod cup installed height everyone ends up with std. chevy lifters.
While the HT-951 lifter is the same body the push rod seat is taller in the body making them a good choice for a chevy in need of +.100 longer push rods for stock class stuff allowing the use of a stock length push rod to be used.
The last 2 poncho builds I have done I used their cam kits and have no issues and they were reasonably priced. They also offer some with a 4/7 swap if you are interested in that.

Hey ProPower, I did check with Competition Products-Howards cam. I was told they had No Pontiac cams at all and had no dates when cams and lifters would become available.ProPower engines wrote: ↑Fri Jun 18, 2021 1:49 pm Howards has some decent hyd/ roller options I may look at.
