Went to a Pertronix Second Strike after my MSD analog box failed intermittently years ago, has been flawless for years. Recently purchased a Digital HP box with matching coil for another project, we will see this spring. [-o<
The price of progress is trouble.

I had a bad experience with one of those Pertronix rev limiters. Didn't last more that 500 miles, and developed some kind of short or something that caused severe misfires. Disconnected limiter and the issues went away (and this was just a delco HEI module ignition, nothing exotic).

Same problem here. No more Pertronix for me...

I have a pertronix 2 with a second strike and one of their e-coils.
Have not missed a heartbeat in 10 years.
