Ford cylinder shops in Detroit area

Post by mopardave »

A friend of mine is looking for a good shop to port and machine a pair of 351 Cleveland heads. Can any one on here suggest a real good shop that knows these heads well and can handle the task in the MI/Detroit area? Thanks

That would probably depend upon the amount and level modifications which would be done. Along with the price range expected.

He's building a hot street 351 Cleveland, so i'm thinking clean the ports up, VJ, guides and spring set up. Any machining needed as well.

For what that price tag is going to total out to I would just get a set of Edelbrock’s if he is open to not having iron heads?
You can cut a man's tongue from his mouth, but that does not mean he’s a liar, it just shows that you fear the truth he might speak about you!

Is Dwayne still open. I tried looking him up and could find him. He did a nice job on a set of heads for me in the past. Nice work.

He may not be accepting any more work right now at the present time if he is swamped and couldn't get them done in a certain time period.

He is a "one man" shop.

Greg Douglas (Douglas Porting) may be a good person for you to ask. He is in Mt Clements.
