How many passes on NOS?

I have a 1 gallon dedicated cell for the 175 nitrous kit. About how many passes before needing to add fuel? using 105 race gas.

Ignoring safety factors. 0.5 BSFC *175hp = 87.5lbs/hr or 13.5gal/hr or 0.224gal/minute.

*About* 4 minutes total run time if you could use every ounce of fuel. You'd still need safety factors though. Plan accordingly.

Just like with the bottles, you should fill your tank after every pass and change bottles after every pass. Consistency will suffer if you run a bottle more than once and your fuel load changes.....unless you're just making passes for fun, every little thing helps. But I'd never make two runs on a tank a fuel even if I knew I had plenty to do so....always fill every pass.....

My one friend who ran a 2 gal would fill it after 3 passes but he was hitting the engine with a 250 shot. I would say fill it make a pass and then look to see how much you used then you will kinda know when to fill it.

If I spray the plate over a 5 gal. pale for 10 seconds it seems like only very little fuel is use. I am guessing 7-9 passes easy. out of a 1 gal cell.

id fill every couple of passes. if it runs dry, or picks up air, things are gonna get expensive quickly.
