Brad is good people, to expound...You can put any size carb on anything you want if you fix the fuel curve. The bigger, the better if you can fix. We have almost 15lbs of atmosphere to push into the engine, the more you can get into the pump the more you get out. Time is a factor, less restriction(bigger carb) makes more better dynamically.
edit, think...does a pro stock engine actually need those great big dual carbs...yes..........but the dyno says it only needs 1000cfm(for a number)

My 850 A/D Mighty Demon and 1000 Race Demon are the 2 best carburetors I have ever run on my cars.
