This is with manifold bolted up.
This is the first time I have seen flow numbers increase hence my initial confusion.
Velocity is ft/sec at the runner opening on intake bolted to head.
The Vic jnr has a avg csa of approx 2.3" in the runner.
I’m not too surprised. I’ve seen it before, especially with Chrysler stuff. I can’t explain it but my best guess is the intake manifold slows down the average air speed through the port and provides a better...I’m trying to find a way to say it...the manifold provides a better transition of the air getting into the port than clay or a radius plate. Again, that’s just my WAG but that’s the best I have.

I've seen the flow increase quite often when the intake is decent. More common on tunnel rams and "tuned" intakes, in my experience. If you test it over the range of lifts, it'll likely flow better at only a few spots and not along the whole spectrum from top to bottom, like yours. The port seems to like the intake straightening the air.

Spent a bit of time on intake port, changed top cut to 40 degrees, blended top cut to chamber as it had a machine lip from the CNC,chamber poured 61cc,as cast port 166cc.ported runner 186cc.i think these are a nice cylinder head, my only gripe is the tiny pushrod pinch.
I was only able to open up 0.050" to a width of 1.05" and stock height 1.75" gives approx 1.75".
There is still a slight bit of instability above 0.550" lift.

Just a update for anyone interested.
Finally have 880 roller block home, everything clearance for 3.75" crank and rods.
I want to run my Howard's shelf solid roller 241-251 @ 0.050 "
0.380" lobe 108 LSA set up to go in straight up.
I ran this cam with my small cast iron heads in my 010 block last year in at 104 ICL.
Car went 11.13 @ 119 mph.
I have reconsidered compression ratio down to 10.83:1. For pumpgas
Flat top piston with - 6.6cc reliefs.
Piston 0.015" down hole.
0.027" cometic gasket.
Heads will have a 64cc chambers.
With that small cam it should be fine.
I have about 2 hrs work left in the victor junior, then I will double check on flow bench bolted on heads.
Will be dynoed before Xmas.
This engine is going in my red ute while the dart block 383 is out, going to change some things and re- dyno.i think the 880 roller should make approx 530hp but more would be great :D

3.18" at the opening
2.20" at the flange
Radius factored in
