Fuelab Filter Opinions

Post by Popeye »

I was looking at 40 micron stainless steel element filters because others claiming it, 40 micron SS fuel filters, is what they use, but then read EFI needs a 10 micron filter. Stinkin' white blood cells are 20-25 microns.

Anyway, looking on Summit I find the 828 series Fuelab filters in 10 micron with a 5 inch paper element. I run pump gas or Sunoco 104 unleaded.

What does Speed-Talk say.

I use System1 and also use the largest element I can. On an off road race truck I use two ~40 in sq area filters, one for each pump(redundant) on the outlet and 70 micron filter for the inlet of pumps. It's amazing how much silt gets in the tank. We also keep spare elements for an easy swap in the desert then clean later. Same extra elements for the oil filter to save time.
