LC160 camshaft at start

Post by John@RED »

Hello,
would it be difficult to start an engine with a LC160 intake camshaft?
Engine has VVT and intake camshaft is fully retarded at start up
Thanks

In general regardless of the engine in question I would say yes.

Retarded ignition timing and too low of a cylinder pressure than what’s needed to let the starter spin the motor over will leave you hung out to dry!

If starting fluid will not make the motor at least kick when cranking then you for sure have problems!

What cylinder pressure are you seeing when cranking ?
You can cut a man's tongue from his mouth, but that does not mean he’s a liar, it just shows that you fear the truth he might speak about you!

Hi mag,
engine is still in pieces, and I'm just thinking about all the options I have for it.
Thanks
