I had found a Tuner post on another site, but now I can’t find it again
Anyway, QF 750. The primary shooter will occasionally dribble fuel at idle with the motor warm, and/or shut off.
Tuner mentioned drilling a vent hole in either the bowl or block; but I’m fuzzy on exactly where to put this vent hole.
Anyone do this?

Re: Accel shooter dribbling at idle
I would try a 0.015" hole in the pump well area of the fuel bowl outside the pump umbrella area into the fuel bowl. FYI Ford-Motorcraft 2bbl carbs have a hole from the pump "well" into the fuel bowl in them to relieve any pressure buildup in the pump.
I hope this helps Henry@olescarb

Set your float level 1/2 turn back from where it is.

Re: Accel shooter dribbling at idle
Some of the 4180 hollers had a Bleedhole drilled in metering block but be careful it's a very very small hole to drill. Better off just adjusting the pump lever so there's a couple thousandths clearance at idle

There are a few "band-aids" for this but, the cause is to much heat or vibration at the carburetor during idle.
