whats usually the difference between cold and hot Lash on doch engines ?

I have seen between.004" to .008" on different heads, and even that type of veriation on the same head!

With an aluminum head, and "cam-over-bucket follower" valvetrain, we normally see .003"-.005" growth in lash.
