yes i see that. Very nice car. That 60 foot time just about seems to fast considering the car runs high nines. I'm impressed. Good work.

A lot of cars are running 2-speed Powerglides in the nines. There's a significant difference in SLR with a 3-speed TH400 and a 2.75/1.57 gear set.

It might be buried in your thread here somewhere but I'll ask if you've an RPM trace of your shifts. Not sure if you datalog or not. I had a quick look back but didn't see any graphs.

There are no modern electronics or data logging in the vehicle. Recently, I've been using the GoPro video footage for reference.

I set the launch control at 6500 rpm to see how high the converter would stall on the transbrake on this run. I also shifted early on the 2-3 shift at 6800 hoping to slow it down. It ran a 9.841@ 134.54. Luckily for me, the Mustang lit the red and broke out as well...

The Camaro ran a 1.294 (60') and 6.294 (660') on this run. 1320' was 10.503 @ 121.09 on a 10.00 dial-in. Opponent in the Nova ran an 11.829 on an 11.55 dial-in. Round 1 win goes to the Camaro.

Just looking for best 1/4 mile ET and MPH as test criteria?
I see you have them lined up smallest to largest left to right. Do you think that will be the order slowest to fastest?
I’ll be cheering for the AFR just because I want to see how the cloverleaf with 4 hole and extended runners fares against the open plenum.
I’m a Street/Strip guy..... like to think outside the quadrilateral parallelogram.

In the thread ‘Intake manifold porting show and tell’ there is a lot of great looking work being shown and a lot of the word ‘fixed’ being used but I haven’t seen anyone give before and after results of the manifold mods. I understand a lot of these manifolds are for new builds and yes it is a show and tell thread but the purpose is hp gain or et gain. Keen to see some 1/4 mile improvement results rather than dyno.

After seeing the Wilson in person, it's evident that it's not meant to run as-cast. The mass of aluminum on the floor needs finishing to be effective, and there is extra material cast at the port face creating a choke point. If I was to A/B before and after finishing, it would be preferable to have two manifolds to test back to back.
I believe most manifolds are shadows of their R&D end product, and need work to optimize the design. One look into the AFR plenum, and I couldn't keep my hands off it. The Trick Flow, surprisingly, is really impressive out-of-the-box.

I do like how you haven’t tried to reinvent the AFR manifold (and the others) and your response to some that suggested the ‘fixes’ was spot on. As you say some manifolds may be a shadow of the manufacturers design but wouldn’t careful selection a the outset reduce the need for more grinding and finishing than necessary? There was no literature, with any manifold I have, suggesting finish work. I assume this lack of information is geared toward the non-professional. Just bolt it on and go. It'll 'work' as-cast, and If the combination is not dialed-in, what difference will it make?
The Profiler Wilson will bolt on and 'work' out-of-the-box as well. It is offered as-cast, and with two stages of porting. If it was meant to run OOTB, why charge so much to finish it? It costs over $2000US with "intermediate port and gasket match". As others have mentioned, this is a "porter's manifold" intended for a wide range of applications, yet no documentation suggesting that.
The Trick Flow was designed and optimized specifically for the TFS Super 23 230cc cylinder heads. For the price point, at only $400, the casting is impressive. I may leave this one untouched for initial testing.
The AFR Eliminator manifold is interesting. It replaced the Titan 2-piece composite manifold with an open plenum, which was a top performer among the competition. I almost purchased one years ago, but was told by an AFR rep to wait for the release of the new cast manifold. If they spent the time and money to R&D this intake, why would one immediately remove the clover leaf?
