I can't race my Camaro at the Nostalgia drags, seems the powers that be only let '66 and earlier race with the hiked up front end cars. Looks good Scott
I found this video you need to watch of some guy testing his 355 engine out.

Made a few passes at Lebanon Valley this past weekend. I captured a couple of videos of the rear suspension with the GoPro mounted out back. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Re: Dyno tuned 434 SBC 11:1 AFR 245 Solid Roller
I have a hard time comprehending your dyno number given the et. I have a 400sbc in a 64 corvette. Dynoed at 602.5 HP @6400rpm. It was dynoed with no accesseories. I run a mechanical waterpump and alternator in the car. Total weight with me in it 3,250 lbs and I ran 10.55 with DA 5500' which also corrects to about 9.9 at sea level. I foot brake with 255/60R15 street tires. I was a little rich on the dyno so I leaned it out and staggered the jetting to lean out the two rich corners so I might be 615hp if Im lucky with the accessories. How much does your car weigh and are there any launch issues?ChopperScott wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 7:38 pmLaunch control was set at 4500 rpm off the transbrake.ChopperScott wrote: ↑Fri Apr 22, 2022 5:10 pm Pro Torque, Bullet Race Series, 8" bolt together w/ billet aluminum drive cover, 30 spline, mechanical diode, billet stator, with approximate 5200-5500 stall range.

The engine was dynoed without accessories. On the car there is a mechanical water pump, alternator, and power steering pump. I weighed it on the scale at the end of the track on Friday after the first pass. It was 3060# with me in it. Launch issues? Have a look for yourself...cwodgers wrote: ↑Tue Sep 27, 2022 8:18 pm I have a hard time comprehending your dyno number given the et. I have a 400sbc in a 64 corvette. Dynoed at 602.5 HP @6400rpm. Re: Dyno tuned 434 SBC 11:1 AFR 245 Solid Roller
Nice video. I have seen a number of them on youtube. Pretty good videos. The ones you take of the whole car is that from a phone. I would like to take some of mine but my friends cell phone doesnt capture it well when it is down the track. What does your car weigh? Any idea about the density altitude there?
Re: Dyno tuned 434 SBC 11:1 AFR 245 Solid Roller
Your car leaves pretty hard. Suspension looks like it is working well. I still have the independant rear suspension, a composite leaf spring. I turned down a dana 60 gear, bored out the housing and used stout axles and half shafts. I get 1.51 60' foot- breaking but it accelerates hard after that but doesnt look anything heroic. I switched to a glide from a turbo 350. I made a lot of changes to the engine but I picked up a lot. With the old hydraulic roller my best was 10.86 at DA of about 3300'.With a comp XE292r, I had a run last time out that would have been 10.49 at DA 5300' if I hadnt breaked because I passed the guy. We should have some better air (4000' DA) this weekend. Im hoping for 10.30s. You might try a powerglide with a 1.8 or 2.0 1st. I use a BTE with a 2.0 1st.ChopperScott wrote: ↑Wed Sep 28, 2022 1:07 pmThe engine was dynoed without accessories. On the car there is a mechanical water pump, alternator, and power steering pump.
