How to seal for 95% street use ? No dry sump. No evacuator on exhaust collector. Opposed 4 cyl. I have heard different pcv valves have different
rates of flow ?
Thanks, Art.

ARt,
Not sure how different your engine is but that has been the standard top ring on Subarus for quite a while now. Same with a lot of GM V-8s. I dont know where it would need any special treatment.

Re: .0475" ring seal
What helps a bunch in these motors are the basics, like making sure that top compression ring groove clearance is dead on at 60 degrees f and that besides that there is no pitting in the grooves.
Almost all high mileage Subaru’s have had a coolant leak in a cylinder or two and the putting from that in the ring groove will degrade ring seal to some level!

You can cut a man's tongue from his mouth, but that does not mean he’s a liar, it just shows that you fear the truth he might speak about you!

Good info guys. 2618 material not my first choice for a street piston. That being said, cylinders are air cooled, coated aluminum, more in line with
thermal expansion.
Thanks, Art.
