As per photo the as cast SV blocks off part of the runner, they need work
Do you think cutting back those long dividers might help that on the SV?

I layed these back, have not changed CSA of runners, carb pad matched to tapered spacer.
Want to try on my 383 with my 165cc (186cc) cast iron darts.
My theory is the bigger SV might keep the mach index down slightly to help engine not fall on its face above 6500rpm,but only a theory on my part. :D

Very impressive work. Anyone have experience porting the Team G 7531 with good results? Is it worth it?

Or maybe I'll just be the guinea pig, and take that AFR #4811PM for a test run.

I probably should have linked this in the original post, so here it is...

https://www.airflowresearch.com/sbc-eli ... -manifold/

...with "Partial Port Match", #4811PM

I'm going to call AFR this week to pick their brains.

Looks good Steve, those old 300-25's with a bit of work are hard to beat on a 383.

Here's the 434 with the SV2, and the 355 with the TG 7531, mentioned in the original post. Don't mind the rod poking through the oil pan on the 355. That's the top end I'd like to put on a 406... the Team G with AFR 220's, 65cc, competition ported, titanium retainers, Crower stainless roller rockers, and AFR stud girdles...

So has anyone used or inspected or had any experience with the AFR manifold? They seem to be an enigma.

Is this out of the box?
I'll bump this for an answer from Speier.

Thanks.

With his enthusiasm toward them it maybe more than me that would like to know.

Did not try a Holley/Dorton ported, ran out of time to procure one and get it ported by a pro, but,
we tried four manifolds on a comp SB high RPM deal, a few years ago, on a known accurate dyno.

An Edelbrock Super Victor ported by Hogans, the GM bowtie ported by Hogans, AFR TFX composite and a fully fabricated Hogan manifold
The Edelbrock was the best.

That extra weight leaves plenty of material for removal…
