AFR Eliminator Race Intake Manifold for SBC

I'm curious if anyone has any experience with the AFR Eliminator Race single plane 4150 intake manifold for small block Chevy with partial port match? AFR discontinued their Titon composite manifolds and replaced them with the Eliminator series. When I spoke to an AFR representative, awhile back, about purchasing a Titon manifold, he advised me to wait for the release of their new cast manifolds. If this manifold has comparable performance or better compared to the Titons, I would really like to try this on my next build.

I have currently have the Edelbrock Super Victor II on a 434, and have had a good experience with the Weiand 7531 Team G on a 355. I'm looking to build a high compression 406 and was contemplating whether to use the Team G or try out the new AFR Eliminator. ( I've got multiple other sbc manifolds to sell, including the Team G, to null the cost).

Here is an informative manifold comparison from Car Craft in 2013. I only wished they used the 7531 Team G, with a 2"raised plenum, instead of the 7530 for this test.

havent seen the new afr, and am a fan of afr stuff, but my vote goes to the old holley strip dominator. it takes a whole lot of intake to beat that thig, at a much higher cost.

I am a fan of the 300-25 as well
As per photo the as cast SV blocks off part of the runner,they need work

My strip dominator I started on ,hopefully finish tomorrow, going to dyno with matching 2" spacer,
2" tapered spacer and shear plate.burred floor everything else 60 grit

Haven't seen the AFR intake in the flesh but my "go to" has been the Holley for years...

IMO, the Holley Dorton 300-110 is the best SBC manifold on the planet.

The Profiler/Wilson is really good if you port it.

Ran the 300-25 on my 406 this year and it did pretty good, I do want to try the Super Victor II I picked up to see if it's any better. I like the mods on the 300-25 Steve has done. I have an extra 300-25 I might try to do like his, looks pretty interesting.

Do you think cutting back those long dividers might help that on the SV?

One thing I am curious about-
With the cross talk between runners where does most of air/fuel mixture travel to and from ??
My opinion would be the path of least resistance.

I have only seen a picture of the SV 2 looks similar to 300-25 this seems to help with the big restriction the original SV has as per my photo.

You guys do an awesome job porting these manifolds. It often looks like a lot of time goes into it. Why don’t the manufacturers cast them closer to these shapes or is it all about sizing for the individual application? Why does everyone say the Super Victor is a great manifold when ported right yet Edelbrock for more than 20 years continue to persist with the same basic plenum shape/design even after a revision? What do they know we don’t?

Sorry if this appears as a highjack but I too am interested in the AFR manifold and it’s perform returns and specific applications. Not much knowledge of them out there considering from a head manufacturer that is very widely known.

It's a good question and seems you answered part of it as in application specific, think about how many people run as cast heads,intake etc.
Then talk to people about porting induction system and first question will be how much cost ??....
As you would be aware you see cars at the track that run ok and then some punch above there weight, and you know why
