Yea I suppose something like that, I've some Qjet intakes where they put the notch by the secondaries.

Jim,
Has vic jnr had porting/plenum work ??
If not and you do change to airgap it would be nice to rework the jnr when you change back later on.
The airgap will be nice at low speed but run out of puff on your cubes rather quickly in my opinion
Yea Eric W. ported it.

Track testing I found super sucker spacer worked the best on airgap
People have to think about why the divider is milled down and think why Eric milled base of spacer as well.
That spacer sure did not work on my BBC Air Gap last time I used it. The engine liked the 1" open spacer better.
Good information 👍
Just shows everything responds differently.

Has anybody ever made something like a throttle plate for the divider so you can adjust on the fly for different rpm?

Are you sure about that? my friend had a GM RPM clone same as an Air gap on his 505 BBC it ran out of steam when it made 802hp on the pump :D , I was very surprised by that. Sure the single plane will make more power way up top but like the last race I was at, my Air Gap never ran out of steam up to 7K.

Might be fezable on a good capable Dual quad hirise intake
(could be either single plane or dual plane type ) built into a (dual carb) Spacer above the intake. vaccuum/solenoid -/ stepper motor / return spring operated, triggered by rpm and throttle position. The idea is to build it into the custom prototype carb spacer not the intake manifold itself.
