Any idea how these “substituted” castings compare to legal factory castings?
Yes same head design but different heads.

The OEM isn't a fair fight anymore. These have 15-20 cfm on them.

NHRA makes you add 5lbs per to run them.

So 350/360hp is rated at 325 OEM and 330 aftermarket

Say you want to run a 10lb class. OEM = 3250 and AM = 3300lbs
That’s a relatively small penalty for something that isn’t going to crack and you can theoretically order a replacement compared to finding yet another rare core that isn’t already junk.

That’s an amazing challenge you’re undertaking, class racing is cool even if it’s becoming more bastardized. (Roller rockers in stock SMH)

What rpm do you anticipate making peak horsepower?

Especially if when you get to decide where in the car the extra weight goes.

Mill the flanges? ;)
"Quality" is like buying oats. You can pay a fair price for it and get some good quality oats,
or you can get it a hell of a lot cheaper, when it's already been through the horse.

One or all of three I have done. Mill flanges. Longer guide. Tulip valve.
