Comp Cams SKU200 roller thrust bearing SBC

Installing a rollmaster torrington gear set into a SBC and using a Comp Cams roller thrust button.
Question is, should the roller thrust button be secure in the cam gear or do they float around little?
Cam gear hole diameter is a little larger then the roller thrust button diameter and there is about .040"
clearance between the thrust button and the cam bolt retaining plate.
