How much vacuum will three spur gear scavenge sections pull on a reasonably well sealed up SBC with a pan that isn't all that big?
Reason I'm asking is I swapped from a wet-sump setup with a vacuum pump to a four stage dry-sump setup and was wondering if I still needed to run my vacuum pump.
Would there be any conflicts between the dry-sump pump and the vacuum pump?
Also, what a good source for mandrels?

Re: Dry sump pumps and vacuum
If it's sealed up good it should be able to pull at least 12" vac, likely more if the pump is not banged up.

Article that mentions using a vacuum pump with a dry sump system. https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/camp- ... il-system/

For compactness and less stuff on the front of an engine, adding a 4th scavenge stage would be less total parts overall and one less drive belt and unique mandrel.
