It'd surprise folks if they knew what all he actually developed and for who.nhrastocker wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 1:19 pmYou are correct Rob. He developed a new Super Stock SBC TPI EFI intake manifold that is a game-changer.

What makes you think the cams all wrong?SpeierRacingHeads wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 10:37 amThe dyno I use is low vs some of the others. Last time I posted a sheet from it from another one of my personal engines I was told it was bad, so I'm not posting a sheet. I'm going to put it in the car and test the wheels off it. Then freshen it and change a few things. Like the cam, IMO it's all wrong and I knew/know better so I'm putting in what I want.rebelrouser wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 9:16 am Come on now, you cannot tease us, numbers to go with the video.
Why not change cam and get the engine as you want before you start testing?

Re: Super Stock Dyno Pull
Because I bought a engine used that had just been dyno'd with a set of my current straight plug heads. The engine was built new in 2005. I wanted a set of my angle plug heads so I sold the top end. Looking at the sheet I felt the engine needed to peak higher. I ordered a new cam and told him to do what he felt was right. New cam came and was exactly the same as the other but on a 108 and not 106. This is 2022 and these heads are much better than the older iron stuff. I should have asked but I'm not a cam expert.Fatman wrote: ↑Sat May 07, 2022 6:56 pmWhat makes you think the cams all wrong?SpeierRacingHeads wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 10:37 amThe dyno I use is low vs some of the others. I'm collecting parts. Carbs, headers, etc. I'm going to sort the car out, freshen, and go to the dyno with parts to try.

Set up a free account here: https://www.hondarandd.jp/ and then search “Imsa V8”ClassAct wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 9:34 pmOk, most of it will go over my head but do you have a link to that paper. I’d like to read it.hoffman900 wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 2:11 pmThe AVL dynos are the best. Honda has a good paper on what they did with their Indy Car engine converted to IMSA / LeMans use. Did some sweeps at 3000rpm/s, and then evaluated port shapes by holding the engine steady at full throttle and “dumping” the clutch to record sweep timeStan Weiss wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 11:29 am Higher HP / Lower HP those tests are not what the engine sees on the drag strip. It is more of a fixed load variable acceleration rate deal much like what Mike Laws dyno did.

It's in and I'm close. Waiting on a 3 speed and then a driveshaft.
Gettin close!
