I agree with your preferences ... but, it's an everyday fact that I don't always get to realize my preferences. Jeez, if I were to absolutely adhere to my preference for no Red China, I'd be half-naked, shoeless and even my new car couldn't function.

I've gone out of my way to try and get domestic quality for this latest engine. And by domestic, I'll say Made in the USA more specifically as I can't get pistons (I bought Wiseco) that are Made in Canada. If all goes to plan, it'll be a guaranteed USA manufactured cam and lifters from Jones Cams too. PAC springs as well. (Past builds have generally been COMP Cams but "word on the street" is that COMP's country of origin is now somewhat suspect since their sale a few years back.)
For more than one reason- CC is the last company I would choose although they do have lots of fans. COMP Cams, the manufacturer, distributor, and marketer of high-performance automotive aftermarket products specialising in camshaft and valvetrain related components has been acquired by private equity firm Industrial Opportunity Partners. COMP Cams joins a portfolio that includes Edelbrock. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Sorry about that. I can see where it reads as though I implied that Wiseco is Canadian manufactured. It's a US based company. But when sourcing car parts, (can't include underwear or shoes in this) USA is my target source.
