Re: 13 degree steel block , wet sump , internal oil pump motor
Thinking this might be pretty close to NHRA Pro-Stock Dyno numbers, corrections are welcome.
925 ft. lbs. @ x 8500 RPM = 7,862,500
7,862,500 divided by. 5252 = 1497 H.P.
This is 1.85 ft. lbs. per C.I.
Again, corrections are welcome . Mark H.

Id say its closer to 750 ftlbs at 10,000. 750x10000/5252=1400ish. With closer to 820 or so ftlbs at peak torque.swampbuggy wrote: ↑Thu May 26, 2022 10:15 pm Thinking this might be pretty close to NHRA Pro-Stock Dyno numbers, corrections are welcome.

I have a ASCS customer in Mississippi that his stuff is 30hp down from everyone, and he dominates.
Sometimes less power is good when you know how to drive a race car, swamp buggy, etc...
The power is intentional BTW, I just do what he wants.

I think we could assume what he is calling steel, most of us would say is cast iron.

The title clearly says "wet sump" with internal oil pump ... 13 degree All-Pro heads ???

All I was able to decide off of the title and original post was something was 13 degrees, wet sump and internal pump and that it dominated some class with billet aluminum blocks. I don’t know if this was jr dragsters or aircraft development. If I am going to come on and brag about how great I am I will give clear details as to what I did and what I dominated. Then again, I don’t brag as the “Win” does all the talking for me. I was giving the OP the chance to give intelligent details regarding the personal success.

Re: 13 degree steel block , wet sump , internal oil pump motor
You're a clown I guess ,, find Jody Adkins, Pikeville KY,, motor built by Hawks Racing, Princeton WV,, I'm up here at his shop now ,, his business has slowed way down since Covid,, I used to help him quite a bit , 13 degree Brodix 421 , world steel block , won around 13 races last year ,,, against all alum dry sump stuff ,, but you all keep being the all knowing people that you are ,, Anthony also builds all alum dry sump engines too ,, this motor was built for a track that ran this class then it closed ,, so he ran it against all super late cars and fried their ass , why do you think I thought it was worth mentioning?
The BS on here from the peanut gallery I see is just as bad as the last time I signed on here
It's a total shame this site used to be used by Joe Sherman and people of that caliber ,, I'm not hanging around long enough to find out.
This used to be an informative place to lurk ,, not anymore

Dynoed 775 HP ,, not the best but the intake is small and could be holding it back some ,
720 ft lbs of torque and curve flat as Texas
421 ci
Soo ,, all the wide bore , gotta have this , gotta have that crowd better go re learn what you know ,,lol
Yeah ,, I guess the car being so heavy on the nose with a steel block totally threw off the handling too ,,,LOL
Let the haters begin ,, come on ,, bring your best stuff ,, I don't come on here often anymore because I got sick of it ,,
But for this special occasion I'll hurt myself and listen
I gotta see it.
