I purchased Maxrace software and came up with 14.5 tuned length for first and second steps for my motor. the port length for my heads is 3.5 inch. Is that part of the first step length? If so, then the length from header flange to second step would be 11 inch? I am in a space crunch and sure would be nice if that is the case. If it isn't and i build them that way, the first step will be way off. Which way is correct? first step measured from valve head, or
first step measured from header flange?

Re: First stepheader length?
I have been using Pipemax for over 20 years. Learned so much from his programs. In program it asks for ex port length so it may calculate pipe length, so pipe length is from flange. Try changing port length and it will give a different pipe length.
I remember you from moparts forum, which I m no longer on. Were a small handful of sharp guys on there, but most were not.

Thanks Bumps! Trying a different port length will prove the answer!
