Im debating with myself if I should get a stock LS engine (lm7 or LQ4) or keep my old sbc when I turbo it. Will be 99%street driven and target 650rwhp, will prob keep rpm below 6500. Turbo is a VS racing 7875 gen 2 and a a2w IC.
Specification of the sbc: stock L98 block, bored 0,02, afr 210 eliminators, SRP pistons (9,0 CR), 3 middle caps billet and splayed 4 bolt, eagle 5,7” forged h profile rods, scat 3,75 forged crank, all bolts ARP.
Gearbox: ZF8hp90 (auto)
Im looking for reliability and Im concerned with the sbc block strength. Any opinions about what way to go?
TIA
Turbo 381 sbc or go ls?

that may only require 8/10 lbs of boost.
I'd keep your stock block.
I'd keep your stock block.

Got a stock block 383 sbc pushing 24lbs from a Borg Warner S480. Keep your stock block
