Then you may want to consider investing in a 3 year HotPass membership.

I might re-do the valve job but right now the seats all look pretty good which is a surprise from the last pair I did. I lightly lapped an intake valve in when I 1st got them and the 45°was dead on.
If you can put a 40 degree top cut in yourself and blend chamber with a 60 grit roll I would recommend that.
My one head specialist always recommends a 37° top cut but I think that's splitting hairs. I will blend the chambers for sure then it's off to the flow bench for these to see if they actually make any decent numbers.
I figured you would not run them as cast :D
Not all 23 degree head will take a 40deg top cut,I have a set of 180SHP heads I done 2 top cuts
35 - 40.
Gotta do what fits sometimes.

As cast the chamber was dug out around the intake valve which is not what you want

My 215 BBC heads were like that and I cut that area out with a small ball stone then smoothed everything out. Those were terrible heads to run but I did re-do them and they are on another short block but you cannot get anyone to buy anything right now or they want it for free. [-X

Have you flowed that head yet. Flow it with 2.02 on a 4.060 and then kick up to 2.055 and do on a 4.155. Radius combustion side of exhaust valve. Do the 40 degree top cut then stones cut radius on the outside of combustion wall and then blend to 40 degree cut. Also try just a 37 top cut. Play with angle on tulip of valve. It will gain---or lose. Should hit high 290 to low 300 cfm. Oh keep throat at around 90%. . If u dont need to any of this, not a problem. To really make work, really play with intake mounted on it to develop flow best

Did some enforcer sbc for a friend. I did one port. He is going to copy it.
So I did min work.
I added a 75 bottom. Wider 60. Thinned up the 45. Same top cut as afr sent. Blended a little. Little ssr work at the seat, ssr Little pinch. Went from. 253 at 600 to 274.
Couple min things to exhaust. Didn't even flow exhaust. He only has 500 lift. Think 500 lift went from 247 to 263.

Everything gained. tested one thing at a time. Last test was pinch

No they are still in the boxes and most likely will just stay 2.02 at the moment. After hurting my Vortec 461 I will need to see what happened to the bottom end last week.

Just picked up a new intake manifold for this project using these heads. I was able to get a killer deal on a Brodix HV-1000 single plane today. Reminds me of my Eddy S/V II intake.

Any updates on the heads. My Son is porting a set now and he also blew through the pushrod pinch area. Trying to get the mca at 2.00

He should be able to get 2.0 easy without going through.

Felpro 1205 for height 2.09 height x 1.0-1.050 width

I've made them way bigger

Funny you should mention that, I will be testing 3 different heads on the 21st of this month. Numbers coming soon, good or bad.

Weingartner did a video on not getting obsessed about the pinch.

He used a 1206 gasket and made the intake and head entrance just smaller than the scribe line. Keeping the port divider the same thickness as the gasket there was not enough metal there to get 2.0 at the pinch on one runner. There is a lot of core shift but I also suspect the machining is inconsistent as well. They really carved heavy for pushrod clearance.

Some of the ebay heads are machined Different and you can break thru easy if your not careful, ask Weingartner :)
