If all else fails try a tiny bit bigger Idle restriction.

I actually tried that first, before starting this thread. Once I got it figured out and fixed it, I ran it with the calibration as it was. It was (predictably) fat at idle and on the tslots since I’d put such big IFRs in it while chasing the wrong tail. I’ve since corrected all of that, and it now runs like a champ 8)

It looks to me that if you reduced the clearance, opening on the secondaries, the engine would have to draw more air past the primaries and you would have to open them a bit which would put them closer to where you want them.

Cheap small flat file from Harbor Freight grind the wide sides off leaving the thin side with teeth.
