How does the 1206 gasket fit the 300-25 strip dominator ?
You will need to raise the port roof to match the 1206 gasket as the out of the box 300-25 is very close to the 1205. That's what I did one my 300-25.

What surprised you concerning the quality of casting?

I'll head out to the garage and take a few pics.
I was surprised after looking at Edelbrock castings for so many years. Some were really terrible and didn't fit correctly.

I haven't handled enough Edelbrock manifolds to make a comparable judgement. I've read that the later Super Victor 2925 is a much better casting. As far as Holley is concerned, I can't say I'm too impressed with the castings out-of-the-box, but with a little time and effort, they could prove to be nice pieces.

Mike is proficient at tuning Holley EFI with nitrous. He'll be going with a blown alcohol, ProCharger combo next time out.

Yep. By my reckoning it takes about 3 seconds to cover the eighth mile at 145 MPH.

He definitely cruised to the 1/4. It would have spit out the bottom end if he stayed on the throttle. He tells people it's a 327.

I didn't want to give up on the Holley 300-110. Even though I tried it with two sets of 1206 gaskets (2 x .060), I decided to order a set of of 1266 gaskets (.120). After further inspection, I'm confident it will work. I will just need to be careful with the roof on the one set of runners when matching.

That intake works great if you want your TQ to peak higher than your hp. For his procharged methanol deal, it won't matter though. Might actually help.
