Here is a Edelbrock intake manifold thst exists yet you cannot buy it unless you buy the whole sbc E-Force 122H supercharger kit.

Come in regular port/ bolt pattern and vortec port/bolt pattern (its actually a common casting)
If Edelbrock was friendly to hot rodders they would make this intake manifold available along as a catalog item..
Tone of potential for carb(s) with a custom carb plenum top for various carb schemes.
Low rise to fit under stock hoods if you want.
Potential for N/A or forced induction.
Could be blow thru carb or efi or roots blower on top
For those that are creative. The vortec version allows bolting others roots blowers on a Vortec headed supercharged SBC project..
Edelbrock needs to get with the program.
Lots of additional sales potential.

2x4 AFB's or AVS2 Eddy carbs or ssy 3x2 Holley Tri Power carbs on a custom carb plenum top will have great "Cruise Night" visual appeal.
The short but generous and direct flow ports will "tune" much like other short runner sbc intake manifolds like the TPIS mini ram EFI intake. Or as like the chevy sbc 350 Gen 2 LT-1/LT4 EFI engine intake manifold

There are lots of different ways to play, with this one.

This is the INDY MOD MAN mopar B wedge intake.
You get the picture of where I'm refering to using that Edelbrock supercharger manifold base.

I kept hearing “the best sbc intake on the planet” echoing in my head. Now I’ve officially had my hands on one. Somebody help me!

That's not the good 300-25. The good ones have the winters logo on them, they are worth 50hp over the new ones  I ran one a couple of years ago, it worked pretty well, I will see how the S/V II works over the Holley next year.

It's not the good one. Rumor is the 300-110 Keith Dorton series is the better one. I'm sure Chad would like to chime in on that. I've never had one before. The ports are smaller than 1205 on both those manifolds, leaving gasket options open. I don't think they are intended to run like that.

I know my 300-110 was for high port heads which sucked as I did have any heads like that so I swapped in for a Vortec S/V. That worked out well for me.

Question for you regarding the Vortec SV.
Does it have the traditional Vortec port shape at the head mating surface?
I use a FelPro 1255 gasket for my heads (RHS Vortec) and Air Gap intake. But there are other options such as the plastic GM style. Those openings are oversized and rectangular. Not sure what to make of them.

It's an 11:1 solid roller 434 with AFR 245's, 2892 Super Victor II, and a Q-950 on top.

The Holley 300-110 is designed for standard port 23* heads. Here's a set of ports (manifold is upside-down) in comparison to various gaskets.

Ahh i see what i did. It was meant to be a question for 1980RS. I’we been following along the great progress of your build ! Is the Dorton intake going to be tested on the 434 ?

That was the plan. After looking at those pics, and examining the port alignment, I'm not very impressed. Here it is with 1206 and 6901 gaskets. One side looks perfectly workable. The other side, not so much. I may reconsider touching this manifold.
