All I buy and use on everything, including iron, are SE5 aluma burrs.
I don't know what burr Chad is using, but if I tried finishing like that, I'd probably ruin the manifold. On that AFR, I used a ball head carbide burr on the plenum floor into the runners, 60 grit in the runners, with a cross and blend buff at the ports and the leading edge of the divider walls.

With regards to iron(!), is this for texturing only or outright material removal?SpeierRacingHeads wrote: ↑Sat Dec 24, 2022 3:17 pm

I stopped using WD40 or oil in the shop and use this on everything, Grudging, milling, spray before bagging. The stuff is amazing.

Just Happy someone didn't show a Knife edge entry below the plenum!!!!!! Into the runners!

If this works as deadly as aviation stuff in general, while still being a non-toxic, non-irritating and environmentally safe synthetic material. I will be thrilled! Thanks to sbcharlie for his video

Does anyone happen to know who sells and delivers these burrs to the EU? I would like to try one and Headgames seems to be out of stock right now. Thanks in advance,

Headed down same hole with the Weiand 8016. I have a ported AirGap on my SBC now and it made a difference. The 8016 might work out since you can access the runners into the common area where with the AirGap it’s beyond a grinder shaft.
However I have never been able to find good info on actual use of the Weiand 8016. Also if that common area was a good thing it may have not gone away?

That Stealth needs porting for sure and the plenum divider cut down also. I have an Air Gap I used a couple of years ago with good luck and took the divider out like the Brodix 1016. My Air Gap ran in the low 11's with it.mtrhead wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 9:49 amHeaded down same hole with the Weiand 8016. I have a ported AirGap on my SBC now and it made a difference. Where are you getting them with the 6"-8" long shank? By chance have a specific part number or link to the vendor/ part number you use?

Quick question Scott although probably covered before: When doing a gasket match like that are you using the bolt holes as "dowels" or do you go so far as to actually pin the manifold flange.?ChopperScott wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 11:06 pm Holley Strip Dominator 300-25 in progress...
