Another thing I note about ported plenums, is that most of the dividers, come to a fairly sharp point.

I've studied aerodynamics a bit, and at subsonic velocity's, a full radius works better than a sharp leading edge. Is this just a case of the need for CSA out weighs turbulence?

As far as radiuses, dry flow + wet flow = bigger picture.
A balanced person dares to stagger, and modify ports bigger

Some instances you have 2 ports flow way different and you can make leading edge work to advantage..Run it and look at where fuel trails or coloring is and adjust from there.Everything I work on csa and overall shape is king.Everything else is way below that.

Don't be afraid to do some testing and some of your own math on what long runner should have for more csa, taper etc. Most manifolds it should be pretty visible difference. You never learn if you don't try.

Just finishing up manifold for 1300 hp 11 deg BBC dart heads.Guy got a little wild and cut some good gutters into walls and above port roof entrances.Had to resize runners and some epoxy work to fill his trenches.

Here's my Dart intake I 've messed around with a few times, it's never performed very well at the track. Even my Air Gap makes more power.
